Fashion, quality, and value. Madame Tussauds Budapest commissioned the major fashion brand to create the Hungarian heritage “wall,” located in a prominent area of the wax museum. The museum’s operators were not envisioning a conventional souvenir line; their main focus was an unconventional, extra-special approach. The MY HERITAGE collection was born.
Sugarbird responded to the commission with two exciting themes. One is Hungarian heritage, which is especially innovative in this case, as four different craft traditions are featured on a T-shirt or scarf. Specifically, these are the iconic patterns of Matyó embroidery, Kalocsa Richelieu embroidery, blue-dye textiles, and Kalotaszeg embroidery. In addition to the aforementioned scarf and T-shirt, the collection includes a hand-embroidered keychain, a brooch featuring a walnut doll also made by hand, and scarves.
The classic Sugarbird favorite is naturally also part of the MY HERITAGE collection: the Zsolnay porcelain-inspired line. It is therefore well worth taking a look at the wax museum’s heritage “wall” and purchasing the wonderful pieces from this tradition-inspired collection.
