Sugarbird is launching its autumn season with yet another fabulous Zsolnay collection. This time, butterfly porcelain motifs inspired the Hungarian fashion company’s design team. Exciting silhouettes, pleasant colors, and wonderful patterns that preserve tradition. Yes, the Sugarbird X Zsolnay Porcelain “Butterfly” collection has been born.

For years, Sugarbird collections featuring the justly famous motifs of the Pécs porcelain manufactory have been favorites among many. The debut collection of the AW23 season was already a resounding success when the so-called “coming soon” materials appeared on the Hungarian brand’s social media platforms. It is hardly surprising, as the team succeeded in adapting a Zsolnay porcelain collection and bringing it into the world of fashion in a way that was more than heartwarming. Vases decorated with butterfly motifs inspired Miss KK, Sugarbird’s graphic designer and designer. This is a late-summer/early-autumn product range, so alongside the black base color, they also experimented with a lighter, more summery shade. Golden beige was printed mainly on satin fabric, giving the pieces of the Sugarbird X Zsolnay Porcelain “Butterfly” collection a subtle sheen. In terms of silhouettes, the collection includes dressier pieces as well as relaxed and jogging sets.

““I had been thinking about a butterfly-themed Zsolnay collection without floral motifs for a long time. I like experimenting and creating unusual (unexpected) graphics for individual collaborations. That’s why it was a novel experience for me to work on something different within the Zsolnay theme. What I particularly like about it is that the graphics are not typically ‘laid out’ designs, but that the patterns and silhouettes form a more organic, natural, airy whole. The Pécs Zsolnay factory once again provided the location for photographing the collection, and it is always a tremendous experience to return there.”” said Miss KK, Sugarbird’s graphic designer and designer.
